أُصيب بالرصاص في رأسه وذراعه وساقه من قوات الأمن خلال اشتباكات في مظاهرة عند حاجز قلنديا احتجاجًا على أعمال الجيش في عملية «الجرف الصامد». ووفقًا لتحقيق بتسيلم، لم يطلق الفقيد النار ولم يكن مسلحًا كما زعم الجيش. ويشير تحقيقنا إلى أن إطلاق نار فلسطينيًا وقع خلال المظاهرة، لكن في مرحلة لاحقة، بعد استشهاد الأعرج.

Shot in the head, arm and leg by security forces during clashes at a demonstration at Qalandia Checkpoint protesting the military’s actions in Operation Protective Edge. According to B’Tselem’s investigation, the deceased neither fired nor was he armed as the military alleged. Our investigation indicates there was Palestinian gunfire during the protest, but at a later stage, after A'araj had been killed.
