Fatally shot by Israel Police and Border Police officers near Bab a-Silsila (the Chain Gate), one of the entrances to the al-Aqsa compound, after opening fire at them and at Israeli civilians. An Israeli civilian was fatally wounded by the shooting and died of his wounds a short while later. According to media reports, two other Israeli civilians were wounded – one critically and one lightly – and two Border Police officers were lightly injured by shrapnel.
