أُصيب بالرصاص في رأسه من القوات الإسرائيلية أثناء استخدامه هاتفه المحمول لتصوير اشتباكات اندلعت خلال اقتحام جنود وعناصر متخفين من حرس الحدود للبلدة لتنفيذ هدم عقابي لمنزل. وأُصيب صديق كان معه في فخذه. وفي الاشتباكات، التي رشق فيها فلسطينيون الحجارة وألقوا متفجرات وزجاجات حارقة وأطلقوا النار على القوات، أُصيب بالرصاص عنصر من كتائب شهداء الأقصى أطلق النار على القوات الإسرائيلية. وتوفي متأثرًا بجراحه في ١١ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٢.

Shot in the head by Israeli forces while using his mobile phone to film clashes that developed during an incursion of soldiers and undercover Border Police officers into the town in order to carry out a punitive home demolition. A friend who was with him was wounded in the thigh. In the clashes, during which Palestinians threw stones, hurled explosives and Molotov cocktails and opened fire at the forces, an al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade operative who fired at the Israeli forces was shot and wounded. He died of his wounds on 11 September 2022.
