Foi morta com três de seus filhos, dois deles menores de idade, os sogros, o cunhado e a cunhada, e outras 14 pessoas de sua família estendida, entre elas três menores, que moravam em dois prédios contíguos. Killed with three of her children, two of them minors, her in-laws, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, and 14 other people from her extended family, including three minors, who lived in two adjoining buildings. In another nearby building, owned by the Abu al-'Oaf family, 22 people were killed, including nine minors. In a fourth building located about 500 meters from the others, two occupants were killed. According to the military, the Hamas tunnel network ran under the street.
