È stato ucciso da un colpo alla testa sparato dai soldati durante una protesta vicino alla recinzione di confine a est del campo profughi di Jabalia. Durante la protesta sono state lanciate pietre contro i soldati schierati dall'altra parte della recinzione. Dalle ricerche di B’Tselem risulta che Jum’ah si trovava a 150 metri dalla recinzione e non lanciava pietre. 18 manifestanti, tra cui un minorenne, sono rimasti feriti dagli spari.

Killed from a shot to the head fired by soldiers during a protest near the perimeter fence east of Jabalya RC. Rocks were thrown at soldiers standing on the other side of the fence during the protest. B’Tselem’s research indicates that Jum’ah had been standing 150 meters away from the fence and did not throw rocks. 18 protesters, including one minor, were injured from the shooting.
