در جریان اعتراضی در نزدیکی حصار مرزی در شرق اردوگاه پناهندگان جبالیا، بر اثر اصابت گلوله سربازان به سرش شهید شد. در جریان این اعتراض به سوی سربازانی که در آن سوی حصار ایستاده بودند سنگ پرتاب شد. بررسی بتسلم نشان می‌دهد که جمعه در ۱۵۰ متری حصار ایستاده بود و سنگ پرتاب نکرد. ۱۸ معترض، از جمله یک خردسال، بر اثر این تیراندازی زخمی شدند.

Killed from a shot to the head fired by soldiers during a protest near the perimeter fence east of Jabalya RC. Rocks were thrown at soldiers standing on the other side of the fence during the protest. B’Tselem’s research indicates that Jum’ah had been standing 150 meters away from the fence and did not throw rocks. 18 protesters, including one minor, were injured from the shooting.
