در جریان نسخه شبانه راهپیمایی بزرگ بازگشت («سردرگمی شبانه») در نزدیکی حصار مرزی نوار غزه، در شرق شهر رفح، که تا چند صد نفر در آن شرکت داشتند، از ناحیه سر هدف گلوله نیروهای امنیتی اسرائیل قرار گرفت. در جریان تظاهرات، برخی از تظاهرکنندگان لاستیک آتش زدند، ترقه روشن کردند و به سوی نیروهای اسرائیلی مستقر در آن سوی حصار سنگ پرتاب کردند. به گفته ارتش، تظاهرکنندگان کوکتل مولوتوف نیز پرتاب کردند و حدود بیست تظاهرکننده از حصار عبور کردند.

Shot in the head by Israeli security forces during the nocturnal version of the Return Protests (the Night Confusion) near the Gaza perimeter fence, east of the city of Rafah, which were attended by as many as several hundred people. During the demonstration, some of the protesters torched tires, lit firecrackers and threw stones at Israeli troops stationed on the other side of the fence. According to the military, demonstrators also hurled Molotov cocktails, and some twenty demonstrators crossed the fence.
