قصبے میں فوجی دراندازی کے دوران مسجد سے نماز پڑھ کر واپس آتے ہوئے تقریباً 100 میٹر کے فاصلے سے فوجیوں کی فائرنگ سے سر میں زخمی ہوئے۔ دراندازی کے دوران فلسطینیوں نے فوجیوں پر فائرنگ اور پتھراؤ کیا۔ کچھ ہی دیر بعد زخموں کی تاب نہ لا کر شہید ہوئے۔

Wounded in the head by soldiers’ gunfire from a distance of about 100 meters as he was returning from prayers at the mosque during a military incursion into the town. Palestinians fired and threw stones at the soldiers during the incursion. Died of his wounds shortly after.
