Resultó herido en la cabeza por disparos de soldados desde una distancia de unos 100 metros cuando volvía de rezar en la mezquita durante una incursión militar en la localidad. Durante la incursión, palestinos dispararon y lanzaron piedras contra los soldados. Murió a causa de sus heridas poco después.

Wounded in the head by soldiers’ gunfire from a distance of about 100 meters as he was returning from prayers at the mosque during a military incursion into the town. Palestinians fired and threw stones at the soldiers during the incursion. Died of his wounds shortly after.
