أُصيب في رأسه برصاص الجنود من مسافة نحو ١٠٠ متر أثناء عودته من الصلاة في المسجد خلال اقتحام عسكري للبلدة. وكان فلسطينيون قد أطلقوا النار على الجنود ورشقوهم بالحجارة خلال الاقتحام. وتوفي متأثرًا بجراحه بعد وقت قصير.
النص الأصلي
Wounded in the head by soldiers’ gunfire from a distance of about 100 meters as he was returning from prayers at the mosque during a military incursion into the town. Palestinians fired and threw stones at the soldiers during the incursion. Died of his wounds shortly after.
