Alipigwa risasi kwa nyuma na wanajeshi wa Israel alipokuwa akijaribu kuwakimbia, baada yeye na vijana wengine kuwarushia wanajeshi mawe na vilipuzi viwili vya kutengenezwa katika mtaa wa Kafr ‘Aqab, Jerusalem Mashariki. Vijana wengine wawili walijeruhiwa na risasi hizo. Dar ‘Udwan aliuawa shahidi kutokana na majeraha yake baadaye siku hiyo.

Hit by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire from behind as he tried to flee from them, after he and other young men threw stones and two IEDs at the soldiers in the neighborhood of Kafr ‘Aqab in East Jerusalem. Two other young men were injured by the gunfire. Dar ‘Udwan succumbed to his injuries later that day.
