পূর্ব জেরুজালেমের কাফর আকাব এলাকায় তিনি ও অন্য তরুণেরা সেনাদের দিকে পাথর ও দুটি হাতে তৈরি বিস্ফোরক ছোড়ার পর পালানোর চেষ্টাকালে পেছন থেকে ইসরায়েলি সেনাদের গুলিতে বিদ্ধ হন। গুলিতে আরও দুই তরুণ আহত হন। সেদিনই পরে দার উদওয়ান আঘাতের কারণে শহীদ হন।
