È stato colpito alla testa da un soldato a bordo di una jeep militare mentre lanciava pietre contro le jeep militari entrate nel villaggio. Shot in the head by a soldier in a military jeep while throwing stones at military jeeps that had entered the village. During the arrest of one of the local residents, the forces destroyed part of his home while he was still inside. Six other residents, including two journalists, were wounded by live fire.
