তিনি ও আরও তিন ফিলিস্তিনি একটি পরিত্যক্ত সামরিক চৌকিতে আগুন দিতে ইসরায়েলে প্রবেশ করে আবার গাজা উপত্যকায় পালিয়ে আসার পর ইসরায়েলি সেনাদের গুলিতে আহত হন। গুলিতে আরেক ফিলিস্তিনি আহত হন। সেদিন পরে আব্দুল আল আঘাতের কারণে শহীদ হন। ইসরায়েল তাঁর মরদেহ আটকে রেখেছে।
