أُصيب بالرصاص في خصره من جنود كانوا يكمنون له، أثناء سيره إلى البيت على الطريق المؤدي إلى بيت عور التحتا، الذي أغلقته إسرائيل عند تفرعه عن الطريق ٤٤٣. وتوفي متأثرًا بجراحه بعد وقت قصير.

Shot and wounded in the waist by soldiers lying in ambush, while walking home on the road to Beit ‘Ur a-Tahta, the turn-off to which from Route 443 has been blocked by Israel. Succumbed to his wounds a short while later.
