استُشهد وهو على وشك تناول الغداء في ساحة منزل شقيقه حيث كان يحتمي مع زوجته وابنه، في غارة جوية استهدفت مبنى الشوا في شارع الوحدة قبالة المنزل. كما استُشهدت ابنة شقيقه وهي قاصر. ودمّرت الغارة الطابقين العلويين من مبنى الشوا الذي كان يضم مكاتب منظمات غير حكومية.
النص الأصلي
Killed as he was about to have lunch in the yard of his brother's house, where he was sheltering with his wife and son, in an airstrike on the a-Shawa building on al-Wehda Street opposite the house. His niece, a minor, was also killed. The strike destroyed the two top floors of the a-Shawa building, which held NGO offices.
