Foi baleado nas costas a 200 metros de distância por soldados que, segundo o Exército, perseguiam dois jovens que haviam lançado um coquetel molotov contra uma torre de vigia na entrada da aldeia. Shot in the back at a distance of 200 meters by soldiers who, according to the military, were chasing two youths who had thrown a Molotov cocktail at a watchtower at the entrance to the village. Died of his wounds a short while later. One of the youths was injured by the soldiers' gunfire and the other escaped.
