È rimasto ferito mentre andava alla moschea, dopo essere fuggito con la famiglia dal quartiere di a-Shuja'yah a casa dello zio nel quartiere di a-Zeitun. È stato trasferito per le cure in un ospedale di Gerusalemme Est, dove è morto per le ferite.

Wounded on his way to the mosque, having fled with his family from a-Shuja'yah neighborhood to his uncle’s house in a-Zeitun neighborhood. Transferred for treatment at a hospital in East Jerusalem, where he succumbed to his wounds.
