जबालिया शरणार्थी शिविर के पूर्व में ग़ज़ा की सीमा बाड़ के पास एक प्रदर्शन के दौरान सैनिकों ने उसके पेट में गोली मारकर उसे घायल किया। प्रदर्शन में पहले उसने बाड़ के दूसरी ओर सैनिकों पर पत्थर फेंके थे, लेकिन गोली लगने के समय वह बाड़ से लगभग 200 मीटर दूर बैठा था और पत्थर नहीं फेंक रहा था।

Shot and injured in the abdomen by soldiers during a demonstration near the Gaza perimeter fence, east of Jabalya Refugee Camp. Earlier on in the demonstration, he had thrown stones at soldiers on the other side of the fence, but at the time of the shooting was sitting some 200 meters from the fence and was not throwing stones.
