Blessé à la tête par des tirs de la police des frontières et d'agents infiltrés, après avoir lancé un engin explosif improvisé sur eux alors qu'ils se retiraient du camp. Pendant le retrait, des Palestiniens ont lancé des pierres, des cocktails Molotov et des engins explosifs improvisés sur les forces. Il est mort de ses blessures plus tard dans la journée. Un membre de la branche militaire du Jihad islamique a aussi été touché par balle et blessé dans l'incident, après avoir tiré sur les agents, et il est mort de ses blessures peu après.

Wounded in the head from shots fired by Border Police and undercover officers, after throwing an IED at them as they were withdrawing from the camp. During the withdrawal, Palestinians threw stones, Molotov cocktails and IEDs at the forces. He died of his wounds a later that day. An operative with the Islamic Jihad military wing was also shot and wounded in the incident, after shooting at the officers, and died of his wounds a short while later.
