Murió junto a su hermano y su hermana, ambos menores, su madre, dos de sus tíos, sus abuelos y otras 14 personas de su familia extensa, entre ellas tres menores, que vivían en dos edificios contiguos. Killed with his brother and sister, both of them minors, his mother, two of his uncles, his grandparents, and 14 other people from his extended family, including three minors, who lived in two adjoining buildings. In another nearby building, owned by the Abu al-'Oaf family, 22 people were killed, including nine minors. In a fourth building located about 500 meters from the others, two occupants were killed. According to the military, the Hamas tunnel network ran under the street.
