বাবা-মা, ভাই, দুই ভাবি, দুই অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্কসহ ছয় ভাতিজা, এক ভাতিজার স্ত্রী ও এক ভাতিজার চার মাস বয়সী ছেলে এবং পাশাপাশি দুটি ভবনে বসবাসকারী বৃহত্তর পরিবারের পাঁচ অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্কসহ আটজনের সঙ্গে শহীদ হন। কাছের আরেকটি ভবনে, যার মালিক আবু আল-আউফ পরিবার, নয় অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্কসহ ২২ জন শহীদ হন। অন্য ভবনগুলো থেকে প্রায় ৫০০ মিটার দূরের চতুর্থ একটি ভবনে দুজন বাসিন্দা শহীদ হন। সেনাবাহিনীর ভাষ্যমতে, রাস্তার নিচ দিয়ে হামাসের সুড়ঙ্গ নেটওয়ার্ক চলে গিয়েছিল।
