বাবা, অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্ক দুই বোন, চাচা, চাচি ও তাঁদের অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্ক দুই সন্তান এবং বর্ধিত পরিবারের তিন অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্কসহ আরও ১৪ জনের সঙ্গে শহীদ হন, যাঁরা পাশাপাশি দুটি ভবনে থাকতেন। কাছের আবু আল-আউফ পরিবারের মালিকানাধীন আরেকটি ভবনে নয় অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্কসহ ২২ জন শহীদ হন। অন্যগুলো থেকে প্রায় ৫০০ মিটার দূরের চতুর্থ একটি ভবনে দুজন বাসিন্দা শহীদ হন। সেনাবাহিনীর ভাষ্য অনুযায়ী, রাস্তার নিচ দিয়ে হামাসের সুড়ঙ্গ নেটওয়ার্ক চলে গিয়েছিল।
