বেড়ার একটি ফাঁকের কাছে গিয়ে মাটির একটি ঢেলা ছোড়েন, যা কয়েক মিটার দূরে দাঁড়ানো এক নারী সেনার গায়ে লাগে; এরপর বেড়ার পেছনে ফিরে গেলে সেনারা প্রায় ১৫ মিটার দূর থেকে তাঁর বুকে গুলি করে, এতে তিনি গুরুতর আহত হন। এর কিছুক্ষণ পর আঘাতজনিত কারণে শহীদ হন। গুলিতে আরেক বিক্ষোভকারীর হাতে আঘাত লাগে এবং আরেকজনের মাথায় ছোড়া কাঁদানে গ্যাসের ক্যানিস্টার আঘাত হানে।
