বেইতার কাছে আল-উরমা প্রত্নস্থলে একটি বিক্ষোভ ছত্রভঙ্গের সময় ইসরায়েলি নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর ছোড়া রাবার-আবৃত ধাতব বুলেটে মাথায় আহত হন। ঘটনায় তাজা গুলি ও রাবার-আবৃত ধাতব বুলেটে ১৫ বছর বয়সী এক ফিলিস্তিনি শহীদ হয় এবং আরও ১৩ জন ফিলিস্তিনি আহত হন। আহত হওয়ার পর থেকে তিনি কোমায় ছিলেন।
