استُشهد مع أخته القاصر وأخيه ووالدته واثنين من أعمامه وجديه، إضافة إلى ١٤ شخصًا آخرين من عائلته الممتدة، بينهم ثلاثة قاصرين، كانوا يسكنون في مبنيين متلاصقين. وفي مبنى قريب آخر تملكه عائلة أبو العوف استُشهد ٢٢ شخصًا، بينهم تسعة قاصرين. وفي مبنى رابع يبعد نحو ٥٠٠ متر عن المباني الأخرى استُشهد اثنان من قاطنيه. وبحسب الجيش، كانت شبكة أنفاق حماس تمتد تحت الشارع.

Killed with his sister, who was a minor, his brother, his mother, two of his uncles and his grandparents, as well as 14 other people from his extended family, including three minors, who lived in two adjoining buildings. In another nearby building, owned by the Abu al-'Oaf family, 22 people were killed, including nine minors. In a fourth building located about 500 meters from the others, two occupants were killed. According to the military, the Hamas tunnel network ran under the street.
