군인들이 마을에서 철수할 때 군용 지프에 탄 그들에게 화염병을 던지던 중 그들이 쏜 총에 부상했다. 얼마 뒤 부상으로 숨졌다. 그와 함께 있으면서 역시 지프에 불붙은 화염병을 던지려던 그의 남자 형제도 군인들의 총격에 부상해 얼마 뒤 숨졌다.

Wounded by shots fired by soldiers in military jeeps as he was throwing a Molotov cocktail at them while they were retreating from the village. Died of his wounds shortly after. His brother, who was with him and was also about to throw a burning Molotov cocktail at the jeeps, was also wounded by the soldiers’ fire and died of his wounds shortly after.
