È stato colpito e ferito alla coscia destra dai soldati mentre cercava di sfondare la recinzione con un'ascia insieme a due amici, uno dei quali portava anch'egli un'ascia. L'altro è stato ferito da schegge. È stato trasferito in un ospedale in Israele, dove è morto per le ferite.

Shot and wounded in the right thigh by soldiers when trying to breach the fence with an axe together with two friends, one of whom was also carrying an axe. The other was wounded by shrapnel. Evacuated to a hospital in Israel where he died of his wounds.
