Soldiers fired heavily at the car he was in with four other young men, near the entrance to the settlement of Beit El. According to the military, the passengers had thrown Molotov cocktails earlier. One young man was killed instantly, and three others - including Nakhleh, who died of his wounds at an Israeli hospital - also sustained gunshots.
