ख़ुज़ाआ क़स्बे के उत्तर में ग़ज़ा की परिधि बाड़ के पास एक प्रदर्शन के दौरान, बाड़ से कई दर्जन मीटर दूर रहते हुए, सैनिकों की गोलीबारी से पेट में घायल हुआ। उसने बाड़ के दूसरी ओर खड़े सैनिकों पर पत्थर और एक मोलोटोव कॉकटेल फेंका था। कुछ ही देर बाद घावों के कारण उसकी मौत हो गई।

Wounded in the abdomen by soldiers’ gunfire during a demonstration near the Gaza perimeter fence, north of the town of Khuza’a while several dozen meters away from the fence. Had thrown stones and a Molotov cocktail at soldiers standing on the other side of the fence. Died of his wounds shortly after.
