Alors qu'il se rendait à Rafah avec Rasmi Abu Jarir pour chercher du carburant, un char a ouvert le feu sur eux, les blessant tous les deux. Il a appelé son frère, mais ils étaient morts quand celui-ci est arrivé.

While on the way to Rafah with Rasmi Abu Jarir to get fuel, a tank opened fire on them, wounding both of them. He phoned his brother, but they were dead by the time he arrived.
