در خانه خویشاوندانش که در آن پناه گرفته بود، در حمله به بازار محله شجاعیه در شهر غزه شهید شد. ۱۹ نفر دیگر در این حمله شهید شدند، از جمله یک نوجوان، چهار امدادگر که سه نفرشان عضو شاخه نظامی حماس بودند، سه عکاس خبری و چهار نیروی دفاع مدنی. پیش‌تر حمله به خانه خانواده السلک در همان نزدیکی نه عضو این خانواده را که هفت نفرشان کودک بودند، به شهادت رسانده بود.

Killed in the home of relatives where he had taken shelter, in the strike on the marketplace in the neighborhood of a-Shuja’iyeh, Gaza City. Nineteen others were killed in the strike, including a minor, four medics – three of them Hamas military branch operatives – three photojournalists and four civil defense personnel. Earlier, a strike on the nearby home of the a-Silk family killed nine members of the family, seven of them minors.
