Murió en la casa de unos familiares donde se había refugiado, en el ataque contra el mercado del barrio de a-Shuja'iyeh, en la ciudad de Gaza. Killed in the home of relatives where he had taken shelter, in the strike on the marketplace in the neighborhood of a-Shuja’iyeh, Gaza City. Nineteen others were killed in the strike, including a minor, four medics – three of them Hamas military branch operatives – three photojournalists and four civil defense personnel. Earlier, a strike on the nearby home of the a-Silk family killed nine members of the family, seven of them minors.
