Killed with his wife, son, daughter, two daughters-in-law, six of their grandchildren, including two minors, their grandson's wife, and their four-month-old great-grandson, as well as eight people from their extended family who lived in two adjoining buildings, including five minors. In another nearby building, owned by the Abu al-'Oaf family, 22 people were killed, including nine minors. In a fourth building located about 500 meters from the others, two occupants were killed. According to the military, the Hamas tunnel network ran under the street.
