শরণার্থী শিবিরে একটি গ্রেপ্তার অভিযানের সময় সংঘর্ষ ও গুলিবিনিময়ে সেনাদের গুলিতে আহত হন। সেনাদের দিকে পাথর ছোড়ায় অংশ নিয়েছিলেন। প্রায় দশ দিন পর আঘাতজনিত কারণে শহীদ হন। একই ঘটনায় আরেক ব্যক্তি শহীদ হন।
