সাপ্তাহিক শুক্রবারের বাজারে বিমান হামলায় তাঁর ভাইয়ের বাড়ির প্রবেশপথে শহীদ হন, যেখানে পরিবারটি আশ্রয় নিয়েছিল; তিনি তখন কাছের একটি মুদি দোকানে যাওয়ার জন্য বের হচ্ছিলেন। বাড়ির কাছে থাকা ইসলামিক জিহাদের সামরিক শাখার এক সদস্যও হামলায় শহীদ হন। হামলায় আহত তৃতীয় এক ফিলিস্তিনি প্রায় দুই সপ্তাহ পরে আঘাতজনিত কারণে মারা যান। হামলায় আরও দুজন ফিলিস্তিনি আহত হন।
