استُشهد في منزله مع ١٥ فردًا من عائلته، بينهم أخ وشخصان آخران كانوا أيضًا من عناصر الجناح العسكري لحماس، في غارة جوية استهدفت منازل عائلة النجار الممتدة. ودمّرت الغارة منزلين للعائلة استُشهد في كل منهما ثمانية أشخاص. وتضررت منازل أخرى.

Killed at home with 15 members of his family, including a brother and two other persons who were also Hamas military branch operatives, in an air strike on the homes of the extended a-Najar family. The strike destroyed two of the family's homes, in each of which eight people were killed. Other houses were damaged.
