استُشهد مع أبيه وجديه وأخته وأخيه وزوجة أخيه وابنها البالغ من العمر أربعة أشهر وعمته وزوجتَي عمَّيه وأطفال إحداهما الثلاثة، بينهم قاصران، إضافة إلى ثمانية من عائلتهم الممتدة كانوا يسكنون في مبنيين متلاصقين، بينهم خمسة قاصرين. وفي مبنى قريب آخر تملكه عائلة أبو العوف استُشهد ٢٢ شخصًا، بينهم تسعة قاصرين. وفي مبنى رابع يبعد نحو ٥٠٠ متر عن المباني الأخرى استُشهد اثنان من قاطنيه. وبحسب الجيش، كانت شبكة أنفاق حماس تمتد تحت الشارع.

Killed with his father, grandparents, sister, brother, sister-in-law and her four-month-old son, aunt, the wives of his two uncles and the three children of one of them, including two minors,as well as eight people from their extended family who lived in two adjoining buildings, including five minors. In another nearby building, owned by the Abu al-'Oaf family, 22 people were killed, including nine minors. In a fourth building located about 500 meters from the others, two occupants were killed. According to the military, the Hamas tunnel network ran under the street.
