أُصيب بالرصاص في رأسه من جنود دخلوا مخيم قلنديا للاجئين خلال «عملية حارس الأخ»، وهو على سطح منزله. وتوفي متأثرًا بجراحه في ٢٥ يونيو ٢٠١٤. وبحسب المتحدث باسم الجيش الإسرائيلي، أُلقيت في الحادث قنبلة مصنّعة يدويًا على جندي فأُصيب بجروح طفيفة.

Shot in the head by soldiers who entered Qalandiya refugee camp during Operation Brother's Keeper, while he was on the roof of his house. Died of his wounds on 25 June 2014. According to the IDF Spokesperson, an improvised grenade was hurled in the incident at a soldier, who was lightly wounded.
