استُشهد أثناء ذهابه سيرًا على الأقدام لتفقد حظيرة أغنام في أرض مجاورة لمنزله، بعد أن قصف الجيش منزلًا عبر الطريق يعود لناشط في حماس وكان يبدو أنه مخزن أسلحة.
