Hit in the thigh by Israeli security forces’ gunfire when he was several dozen meters away from the Gaza perimeter fence, during the Return Protests near the fence, north of the town of a-Sayfa; hundreds took part in the protests. During the demonstration, some of the demonstrators torched tires; Abu Jabal and other demonstrators threw stones at Israeli security forces who were stationed on the other side of the fence.
