B'Tselem’in anlatımı (İngilizceden çevrilmiştir)
Davranış bozukluğu vardı. Gazze sınır çiti yakınında, Khuza’ah kasabasının kuzeyinde düzenlenen Büyük Dönüş Yürüyüşü gösterileri sırasında, çitten birkaç metre uzaktaki bir noktada İsrail askerlerine sapanla taş atarken onların ateşiyle boynundan vuruldu; gösterilere binlerce kişi katıldı. Yarası nedeniyle dört uzvunu da kullanamaz hale geldi.
