Foi morto junto com outras 19 pessoas quando foi socorrer as vítimas do ataque ao mercado do bairro de Shujaiya, na Cidade de Gaza. Entre os mortos estavam um menor, quatro socorristas – três deles membros do braço armado do Hamas –, três fotojornalistas e quatro integrantes da defesa civil. Killed along with 19 others when he went to the aid of casualties in the strike on the marketplace in the neighborhood of a-Shuja’iyeh, Gaza City. Among the fatalities were a minor, four medics – three of them Hamas military branch operatives – three photojournalists and four civil defense personnel. Earlier, a strike on the nearby home of the a-Silk family killed nine members of the family, seven of them minors.
