क़स्बे की ज़मीन पर एव्यातार चौकी बनाए जाने के ख़िलाफ़ एक प्रदर्शन के दौरान, जिसमें फ़िलिस्तीनियों ने सैनिकों पर पत्थर फेंके, अपनी कार के पास खड़े होने पर सैनिकों की गोलीबारी से पेट में घायल हुआ। कुछ ही देर बाद घावों के कारण उसकी मौत हो गई।
