أُصيب في بطنه برصاص جنود وهو واقف قرب سيارته خلال مظاهرة ضد إقامة بؤرة أفيتار الاستيطانية على أراضي البلدة، رشق خلالها فلسطينيون الجنود بالحجارة. وتوفي متأثرًا بجراحه بعد وقت قصير.

Wounded in the abdomen by soldiers’ gunfire while standing near his car during a demonstration against the establishment of the Evyatar outpost on town land, during which Palestinians hurled stones at soldiers. Succumbed to his wounds a short while later.
