Tué lorsque des obus de char ont frappé un poste d'observation de la branche militaire du Jihad islamique. Selon l'armée, les obus ont été tirés en riposte à la pose d'un engin explosif sur la clôture frontalière de Gaza face au poste d'observation. Le bombardement a tué un autre militant, et un troisième est mort de ses blessures peu après.

Killed when tank shells hit a lookout post of the Islamic Jihad’s military wing. According to the military, the shells were fired in response to the laying of an explosive device on the Gaza perimeter fence opposite the lookout post. The shelling killed another militant, and a third died of his wounds a short while later.
