পরিবারের মালিকানাধীন একটি আবাসিক ভবনে নিজ বাড়িতে স্বামী, দুই সন্তান, শ্বশুর-শাশুড়ি, স্বামীর বর্ধিত পরিবারের আরও চারজন এবং আট অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্কসহ আরও ১২ জন বাসিন্দার সঙ্গে শহীদ হন। পাশাপাশি দুটি ভবনে আল-কুলাক (কোলাক) পরিবারের ২২ জন সদস্য শহীদ হন, যাঁদের ছয়জন অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্ক, তাদের মধ্যে চার মাসের একটি শিশুও ছিল। প্রায় ৫০০ মিটার দূরে চতুর্থ একটি ভবনে আরও দুজন শহীদ হন। সেনাবাহিনীর ভাষ্য অনুযায়ী, রাস্তার নিচ দিয়ে হামাসের সুড়ঙ্গ নেটওয়ার্ক চলে গিয়েছিল।
