আজ-জাইতুন এলাকায় সেনারা বর্ধিত সামুনি পরিবারকে পরিবারের এক সদস্যের বাড়িতে জড়ো হতে নির্দেশ দেওয়ার পর শহীদ হন। পরদিন সকালে বাড়িটিতে বোমা হামলা হয় এবং তা বাসিন্দাদের ওপর ধসে পড়ে; এতে পরিবারের ২১ জন শহীদ হন এবং অনেকে আহত হন। দুই দিন ধরে সেনারা রেড ক্রসকে আহতদের সরিয়ে নিতে দেয়নি।
