হামাসের শীর্ষ নেতা মাহমুদ আজ-জাহারের বাড়িতে বোমা হামলার সময় কাছের নিজ বাড়ি থেকে পালানোর সময় ভাইয়ের সঙ্গে শহীদ হন। ঘটনায় আরেক ভাই আহত হন এবং ১৫ দিন পর শহীদ হন।
