পাশের যে ভবনে গোলাবারুদ মজুত ছিল সেখানে ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র আঘাত হানলে বিস্ফোরণের তীব্রতা বেড়ে যায় এবং তাঁর বাড়ি ধ্বংস হয়। হামলায় তিনি ও তাঁর ছেলে শহীদ হন।
